Recruiter-Led Career Coaching for Your Next Move in Fashion
Meet Your Fashion Career Coach
Hi, I'm Chrissie Carter
Director of Talent | Fashion Recruiter | Career Coach
Whether you found me through LinkedIn, a campus talk, or through one of my behind‑the‑scenes recruiting clips, I’m glad you’re here.
Through my work in fashion career coaching, I’ve helped people at every stage better understand how hiring decisions are actually made.
I started Let Me Style Your Career after asking myself:
“What do I wish someone had shown me when I was trying to build a career in fashion?”
For the last 17+ years, I’ve built my career inside the fashion industry, interviewing, hiring, and making final decisions for brands like BCBG, Ann Taylor, Michael Kors, Aritzia, Apple, and Veronica Beard.
I’ve read well over 100,000 résumés and hired thousands of people into retail and corporate roles: students landing their very first job, moms returning to work, and professionals pivoting into fashion after years in another field.
Today, I continue to work closely with brands and hiring teams across the fashion industry, bringing a people-first, brand-aligned approach to recruiting. I partner with leadership, support hiring decisions, and help build high-performing teams that deliver an elevated client experience.
I share a lot of free advice on social media, in schools, and at events. But when we work together one‑on‑one, we slow down and focus entirely on you, your story, your confidence, and the exact roles you’re aiming for. We take the guesswork out of résumés, applications, and interviews and apply a fashion career coaching approach grounded in real recruiting experience.
If you’re ready to stop guessing, feel confident in how you’re showing up, and finally pursue the fashion career you’ve been thinking about for years, you’re in the right place.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone:
You’re doing everything “right” — applying, interviewing, following up — and still hearing nothing back.
You’ve applied to dozens… maybe hundreds of jobs.
You check your email first thing in the morning. You check it again before bed.
Every application feels hopeful at first… then silence.
It’s hard not to take that personally — especially when you need a job and care deeply about building a career in fashion.
Whether you’re trying to land your first job in fashion, pivot into a new role, or re-enter the workforce after a major life change, the uncertainty can be exhausting.
